September is a fantastic time to visit Boston, offering pleasant weather and a variety of activities as the city transitions into fall. The crowds from the peak summer season start to thin out, but the atmosphere remains lively with students returning to the city. Weather and What to Pack 👕 The weather in Boston during September is generally mild and comfortable. You can expect  warm, sunny days  in the low to mid-70s°F and  cooler evenings  dropping into the 50s°F. This makes it an ideal time for walking and exploring without the intense heat of summer. Packing Tip:  Dress in layers. A light jacket or sweater is a must for the cooler mornings and nights. Pack comfortable walking shoes, as many of Boston's attractions are best explored on foot. These are a great way to get a local perspective on the city's history and haunts. Witch Shops: Salem is filled with unique shops offering everything from crystals and tarot cards to herbs, spell books, and witchy apparel. A walk along Essex Street is a must for any "witchy" traveler. Book in Advance: Regardless of the time of year, it is highly recommended to book tickets for popular attractions and tours online and in advance to avoid long lines and disappointment.
